On the right side is the text In Tribute to America's Bravest with special bannering in 24 kt gold plating high lightening the words America's Bravest. Main panel image depicts a firefighter rescuing a child from the flame style scroll in the background. Front panel is a 24 kt gold plated replica of the American flag with a gold border outlining both scenes. On the left side is the iconic Maltese cross, a symbol of protection and a badge of honor, with 24 kt gold plate and the unique flame style scroll pattern on the edges. In the front left panel is the text Service Valor Courage in 24 kt gold plated bannering and below a firefighter's helmet with shield number 343 signifying specifically those firefighters killed on September 11, 2001, but also representing all within the brotherhood of firefighters, career and volunteer.
